The logs show the vehicle is requesting 70inhg for manifold absolute pressure and it's not even reaching 60inhg which explains the underboost code and lack of boost on the 91 octane tuning. The logs are showing the vehicle is not reaching it's targets for boost which can be a sign of a boost leak or a torn diaphragm in the wastegate / bypass valve. "The calibrators have reviewed your engineering logs. I can get videos of the sounds, or pictures if needed, whatever helps! I will update what I find when I take a deep look into the intercooler as that is the only thing I can think of that would possibly leak boost at very high engine loads. Please any help or tips that can point me to the possible cause will be much appreciated. When I get the time I will look over boost lines, intercooler piping, and try to take a look at the intercooler itself if it is cracked. The awful choppy intake noise came back but it was random, sometimes doing it at half throttle, sometimes not. While it was very disappointing and aggravating I noticed my car still had its boost? Granted it didn't feel as peppy but it did not feel like I was running no turbo. Haven't checked it yet but I'm sure it's the same code p0299. Sadly the excitement was killed today after I did a hard pull at a light from 1st to 3rd I heard the BOV make its noise and my check engine light turned on. Before you could just hear the BOV releasing after letting go of the gas as my intake is loud. Went a did some pulls to try to test if the code would throw and it seemed like it fixed it! It removed the chopping noise and, for some reason it also has compressor surge which sounds amazing but it did not do this before replacing the two boost control valves. I was unsure if it fixed it or not as I heard the BOV release pressure but the boost still felt there? Got the second part in and replaced it. I went out and tested it and the chopping noise at half throttle seemed to have been fixed a little and tried replicating throwing the under boost code by accelerating fully from 1st to 3rd 5k rpm. So I replaced the one near the turbo and ordered another for the one on the engine. then last week I bought the part and found out there are actually two, one near the turbo and one on top of the engine. I sat on it for awhile as I didn't think it would fix it. I was recommended a BCV (part B元E-9K378-BA) as this could be my issue. They came back to me with no problems they could see on their end. Contacted Livernoise about the problem, they had me use an engineering log to collect data. I looked over boost lines, intake piping, and intercooler piping. I also want to point out at about half throttle the intake noise makes a horrible chopping sound like the engine is struggling to get air but there is still power and more or less throttle makes the sound go away. At one point the car just stopped turning the check engine light on if the code was thrown, so I could only see it through reading the OBD. Not sure if I would say my car goes into limp mode as sometimes the car would maintain very little boost after the code was thrown, but you could hear the intake was considerably quieter. simply turning off the car and turning it back on would bring the turbo back. It also does this if I'm cruising then do a full acceleration pull into a gear or two higher. Here's how it happens, from a complete stop and fully stepping on the peddle the car pulls just fine from 1st, 2nd, then once it gets to 3rd gear at 5k rpm every time I hear what I assume my BOV releasing pressure and my car losses all boost and runs what feels like NA. Just for clarification my car is a 2016 ford escape SE 2.0L, has a K&N intake, NGK spark plugs, and just recently put on a Magnaflow cat back performance exhaust, and the car has only 30k+ miles on it and very well maintained. Loaded the 91 tune I got and it was great! However about a week later I would run into an under boost problem I'm still dealing with. Car ran perfectly fine, did pulls, lots or spirited driving and normal everyday driving just fine before the tune. This starts back in Jan 2023 when I got a tune from livernoise.
